About 7 km from Neyyatinkara is a Shiva temple consecrated by Sree Narayana Guru, the greatest social reformer from Kerala. The temple has historical significance as it was built during a time when people from the so-called lower caste were banned from entry into temples. It is one of the greatest revolutionary movements in Keralas history. The temple which was built in 1888 now attracts visitors from far and near.
